About The Winery
Michael and Kellie Ballard purchased the property in 1996, naming it after their two daughters, believing it a living tribute to the wine industry’s family heritage and the best icon for their family winery operation Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards pledges always to bottle wine that honors their family and to bottle wine that you can be proud to share with your own. Savannah-Chanelle produces in the range of eight to ten thousand cases annually, with over 80 percent dedicated to Pinot Noir, the winery's raison d'être. Michael Ballard and Winemaker Tony Craig (former head winemaker of David Bruce Winery) have joined forces based on their mutual passion for making Pinot Noir wines. Tony continues to produce our small lot, limited Estate wines as well as our wonderful “Coast View” Syrah made from a small, single vineyard site located high in the Gavilian Mountain range above Monterey, California.
